In this summary I will talk about Erica Bauermeister, the author of the novel ‘The School of Essential Ingredients’. Erica loves the art of cooking, and she wants to teach to other people how to prepare some recipes.

Erica’s book was published in the USA by Putnam at the beginning of this year. Her book talks about how Lillian, the main character, runs a restaurant and she also teaches people how to cook.

This book has become very popular in the USA. It has a lot of success and followers, and it is also known internationally.

Erica said that she started writing her book in 2001, but she left it for a long time. Five years later, she sent it out to her agent, and he really liked it, so her agent decided to send it to eight publishers of the USA, and that’s the reason why her book was published.

Erica Bauermeister, the writer of this famous book, loves cooking and food. She really like writing about it, and teach to other people how to cook.

The Harley motorbikes are a symbol in USA old times and inspirited movies as: Easy Rider, The Wild One and Triumph Thunderbird.

In the other pages is explain what has the museum of Harley history, over 450 motorbikes that comes to the event.

David Straitjacket

David Straitjacket was born in Manchester in 1977.

When he was a child, he became a circus juggler.

With a lot of practice and years he became a very good escapologist. Now he can walk in broken glasses, eat light bulbs, put tubes through his nose and swallow a sword.

He won six Guinness World Records.

He appeared on some television series: The New Paul O’Grady Show, Ant & Dec, Big Brother 7 and in CBBC.

In 2008 was shortlisted for the “Best Vegan Entertainer”.

With a lot of practice and years we can be like David and we’ll become good escapologists. 

The professional llife of David.

This article talks about the professional life of David. He was a magic boy, because he can do things like walk on broken lights, eating lightbulbs and putting tubes triughthis nouse.

He starts to practice this when he was 16 years old. David Straitjacket won six records Guinnnes. He explained that, for the firs few months, he stuck a toothbrush down his throat several times a day. Now, in the actuality he has got 32 years old, and he appears on British television, and he is very faumos.

The new film of Di Caprio

This article is about the new film that has participed Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet.
The film producer is Sam Mendes, married Kate in real life.This film is about mid-century XX, and explains the life of Frank, an American man that is very individualist, and dreams talk about his interesting life.
Di Caprio thinks that Frank is an interely unheroic character. He says that he felt very excited.
Leonardo explains that there are any hero in the movie, but the character of April (Kate Winslet) can be the hero because she's the one that's willing to sacrifice everything have a more interesting life.                                                          

 

Violence against women.

The violence against women is the set of activities and practices sexist produced by a man to a woman that requires physical assault for their womanhood. It has different facets from discrimination  to the physical or psychological aggression and murder.


Violence against women is manly exerted by men responding to gender constrains is used the term "gender violence". 

Violence against women isn't confined to any political or economic system, but is prevalent in all societies of the world and regardless of economic status, race or culture. 

My ideas

Teacher: The teacher works at school. The teacher learn, the subject that explains to her or his pupils. An when the pupils don't understand things the teacher explains and the teacher explain an other time.

Blue:  Blue is the color of the sky, it's a great color, there are a lot of things that are blue. It's the color that represents the boys.

Africa: Africa is a continent, leave a lot of people. There are a lot of workers, but there are a lot of poor.
An the thing that is very important, is that there are a lot of chilldren explotation.
Is the continent that there are more children explotation when you compare with an other continents.

Family: The family is very important. The typical characteristic in the world is the family. the family is composite with mother, father... And when you have a family, you are very happy.

Dream: I have a lot of dreams and in my dreams see my family, my friends and more.

1.      Family: Family is the most important thing in the World. When you have a problem your family: father, mother, grandparents, aunt…help you in everything. Is fantastic has a family.

2.      Africa: Africa is a continent where starts the life. Is a continent rich in petrol, diamonds…and also there are a lot of animals and different types of plants. American and European people go there and steel it.

3.      Blue:  color blue is very nice. Is the color from the sea, sky, oceans and more beautiful things like flowers, T-shits… People which this color are very strange.

4.      Dream: a dream in anything that we want in the life. The dreams are the inspiration for actors and artists. Also is a natural thing which appears in the sleeps.

5.      Teacher: Teacher is a person than teach different subjects like maths, English, Catalan, science… Children’s hate teachers because they do difficult exams.

6.      Rain: Rain is a natural phenomenon. It can be dangerous some times and cause flooding. In the cinema a kiss under rain is very romantic.

My Ideas

·        Dream à It suggests to sleep and to think in things that maybe are real or impossible.

·        Africa à It’s a big continent and it suggests the video of Shakira: “It’s time for Africa” because in it appears black people from Africa dancing for the World Cup of 2010 of Sudafrica.

 

·        Fast à It suggests the Olympic Games and the Diamond Cup, because there are events of running. And all the sports because it’s necessary to run in all of them.

Personality: My friend has a strange personality. That’s the reason why he hasn’t got girlfriend. You can’t have the same personality of another because everybody is different.

Dream: Last night, I had a dream with my girlfriend. It was exiting!

Africa: It’s a continent of our world. It is situated in the South Hemisphere. It is very poor.

Storm: It’s a type of weather that consists in a big rain with lightening.

Teacher: It’s a type of job, it consists in teach some subjects to the child. They always are angry and they tell a lot of homework.

Blue: It’s a type of color. It is the same as the sky and the sea.

Small: type of an adjective that means your size.

Run: Last month I ran a marathon in New York. It was so heavy!!!

Africa: It’s a big and a poor continent. It’s situated in the southern hemisphere, between the Atlantic, Indian and Antarctic Ocean.

The rich countries go there to steal their natural resources.

Storm: It’s a natural phenomenon that includes lots of thunders and lightning. But it also falls water.

Teacher: It’s a person who teaches different ideas depending on the subject. The students learn things like English, Maths, Geography…

Lose: It’s the opposite of to win. It’s an irregular verb that means “perdre”. You can lose money, a bet, a Championship…

The books never remember the second ones, only the winners.

Rain: It’s a natural phenomenon that consists of the fall of water in a period of time.

This thing provides water to the Earth and with this we can drink water, have a shower, clean our vegetables and irrigate the fields.

Fever: It’s an illness produced by a high body temperature. If the temperature is higher than 41ºC it’s so dangerous and you can die. You can go down the fever without doing anything, stay in bed a lot of time, sleeping, and sweat.
