Rugby is a national sport in New Zealand, the place where be the next world cup. Here, is the Museum of Rugby, where are a lot of information of the popular team “ALL BLACKS”.

Rugby was created in England, in a boarding school. It was invented in 1823. In New Zealand, rugby arrived in 1870, when New Zealand was very much a developing country.

Bob Luxford is the curator of the New Zealand Rugby Museum. He explains th
at rugby is the most popular sport. Since opening in 1969, the museum has more than 30 000 items, including famous players shirts and boots… The Museum provides excellent documentation of the games rich history.

The “ALL BLACKS” are very famous because they intimidate their opponents by dancing the Maori “Haka” before each match, and they are the most famous rugby team in the world. It was created in 1905. It is believed that the name arose the newspaper report at the time about the “all blacks”.
